I have been riding now for 3 years (ever since i broke
my ankle and decided cycling would be good for recovery). I ride both
on road and off and enjoy them equally for very different reasons. Road
riding, for me at least is all about sustained speed, mechanical
efficiency, man and machine in perfect harmony. Whereas the off road
riding (i ride mostly xc/trail ) is more about enjoying your
surroundings, smells, views, wildlife, overcoming obsticals, and the
thrill of racing downhill.
I currently have two bikes, a Ribble road bike and a Specialized
Stumpjumper MTB. The Stumpjumper is my first full bouncer which i
decided to try out after reading and hearing so many people saying that
they will never ride a hardtail again after making the switch to full
suspension. I will be reviewing this bike in full over the next few
months, check the links below.
Luckily one thing the UK is good at, is funding and building some of
the best trails in the world. Most are on Forestry Commision land
in Wales and Scotland.
There are plenty of cycling related links on the LINKS
page. I will be posting some routes , pics and hopefully vids too, all
cycling related obviously so check back for regular updates.
